STC Transalpine Chapter Conference
Zurich, Switzerland

Workshop: Intro to XML Authoring

The STC Transalpine conference starts on Wednesday, April 18 with an optional one-day workshop. Sarah O’Keefe, President and Founder of Scriptorium Publishing and Framemaker expert, will introduce attendees to XML authoring. In her workshop, she’ll explain how a document’s structure changes the publishing workflow and she’ll address the advantages and disadvantages of these structural changes. This overview class does not focus on specific authoring tools; participants learn about the technology and the concepts underlying the tools.

Two-day conference

The STC Transalpine conference continues on Thursday and Friday with informative presentations, networking opportunities, and our usual chocolate raffle (a fund-raising event in which chocolates from your region that you donate are raffled off to participants). We’ll also cover chapter business and elect new officers.
