On 26th July, eight Northern LIG members met at The Red Bull in Stockport for an excellent presentation by Matthew Ellison on MadCap Flare, a help authoring tool written by a company that was set up by many of the original development team who worked on Robohelp. Matthew was able to show us the good points of MadCap Flare, and also to show us some of the aspects that are different to what we are used to. We also discussed what additional features we would all like to see in an ideal help authoring tool.

To celebrate our presence, the Red Bull also put on a display of Morris Dancing, and we even managed to book a glorious sunny evening for our meeting. Our thanks to Matthew for kindly travelling to speak to us, and we wish him every success with his Online Help Conference, which he is organising in Manchester on September 7th and 8th.
