Chapter Matters
Editorial
The dominant story in this issue is the Region 2 conference. We have four articles about the conference presentations, by Helena Gontsarik, Mike Unwalla, Richard Truscott and Ant Davey. Between them they cover most of the speakers, and show how very stimulating and practical the topics were. Kim Berquist came away from the conference focused on the need to teach Technical Communication skills in Continental Europe; read her Après-conference article to see what she proposes to do about it! Tina describes the presentation of the Distinguished Chapter Award to Liz Hale at the conference dinner. Finally, we have a gallery of conference photos.
Our regular newsletter sections are also represented. Andrew Marlow has given us an article on Quality Assessment, and Mark Buffery describes a Web-based XML course. Karen Lewis gives advanced notice of the French Chapter's Conference and Competition Awards Dinner which will be held in Paris early next year.
There's always room for another article in the newsletter, so send your contributions to newsletter@stcuk.org .
