Yes, it's me again!

Well, I guess I was wrong again. Which is the usual state of affairs for most men. It's the guilty until proven innocent scenario. This time, though, I shall apportion blame fairly and squarely on a certain group of individuals who are kicking a bit of leather around foreign fields.

Now, I do want to mention three pieces of good news.

First, we have hired a new Membership & Marketing Director, based in the main STC office. Her name is Mary Kabza. She has great association experience that she brings to this role and I look forward to her contribution in both growing the membership as well as strengthening our marketing efforts. Both Mary and Susan Burton, our new Executive Director, will be in London for the Region 2 conference in October.

Susan Burton

The second piece of news is this will be my last Membership column (thank you, save the cheers for the next match, please) because, and here's the third piece of good news, we have a new Membership Manager starting as soon as the football finishes.

So, who is this football-crazy person?

None other than our own Liz Hale! Past president, Chapter Achievement Award winner, bonne vivante and cricket lover.

No doubt she'll recount every kick, foul and goal for you. Which is probably more interesting and entertaining than reading my membership column. On which note I'll leave you to enjoy the rest of the soccer in peace.

Unless of course you're a tennis fan? In which case, happy singalong!

My apologies if your name is spelt incorrectly. It's either my fault totally (contributions for spectacles or typing lessons will still be gratefully received even after Liz takes over) or the information sent from the Office is incorrect. Due to the different phone number and postcode formats sometimes the fields get corrupted.
