Downloadable FrameMaker Training Workbooks at $49.95
Scriptorium Publishing offers instant access to affordable,
self-directed FrameMaker training. The FrameMaker Workbook Series is now
available in Adobe Acrobat format.
The downloadable workbooks, which cover unstructured and structured FrameMaker, cost $49.95 each; the printed versions are still available for $119 each. The workbooks cover all version 7 releases and include updates that explain the latest features in version 7.2.
"The PDF workbooks contain the same in-depth exercises as the printed workbooks," said Alan Pringle, Director of Scriptorium Press. "We've enhanced the online version with clickable links and page dimensions that are better for on-screen viewing."
There are five workbooks in the series. The two workbooks for unstructured FrameMaker, Accelerated Introduction and Template Design, are available now in Scriptorium Publishing's online store (http://store.scriptorium.com/). The first workbook for the structured interface, Introduction to Authoring, is also ready for downloading. The remaining workbooks about structured FrameMaker, Building EDDs and Structured Applications, will be available by January 2006.
"A downloaded file eliminates shipping delays and costs, which can be quite high when you are paying for international or express shipping," said Pringle. "Because the downloads are available 24 hours a day, you > can get training whenever you need it. You could buy a workbook at midnight and be ready to show off some new FrameMaker skills the next morning."
The digital workbooks are part of Scriptorium's new training initiatives. The company recently announced the availability of live, instructor-led, web-based training. "We are providing customers with an array of learning options," said Sarah O'Keefe, President. "Customers can choose from traditional classroom-based training; live, instructor-led, web-based training; printed workbooks; and now PDF workbooks."
