We are proud to announce that the STC Board approved the Distinguished Chapter Service Award for Liz Hale at its January 2006 meeting. Liz received the award in recognition of her outstanding and sustained contribution to the success of the UK Chapter.

The Citation reads:

Liz Hale has served the UK Chapter as President, Secretary, Newsletter Editor and Competitions Manager over a period of many years.
She has never shirked from a challenge, and has undertaken the most onerous tasks with confidence and good humour. She has persuaded new and reluctant members to take part, encouraged them to become leaders themselves, and gone on to support and mentor them.
The example that Liz has set for the Chapter leadership team is one that we are all proud to follow.

Liz has been a member of the STC for 15 years and a member of the UK Chapter for 10 years.
