STC Region 2 Conference: London October 2006
Region Two of the STC is to host Making Cents of Making Sense: Technical Communication and Business in London, 13th-14th October, 2006.
Communication can make or break a business. Translating technical details into useful language takes the skill of professionals. Communication professionals also need to keep an eye on business needs.
This Regional Conference is aimed at companies in need of technical communication and the people who produce technical documentation. The programme is going to include speakers who can show the business value of quality technical communication.
In addition to the conference, the STC Board of Directors is holding one of its quarterly meetings in London on 12-13 October 2006 to discuss, among other things, global issues in technical communication. Conference delegates will have a chance to mix with the Board members at an evening social event to be sponsored by STC UK.
The conference programme, venue, prices, and other details are to be released in the coming weeks, and a call for papers has already been made.
