We are looking for new team members for our new Development Center near Glasgow in Lanarkshire area.


Context and mission
 
The Technical Writer is a key member of our project teams, working closely with business analysts, technical analysts and members of the team. The mission of our team is to deliver packaged web-based financial software as part of the Odyssey Component Suite of products. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the quality of our team’s deliverables by

• Assist with the update of the existing Products Manuals (both technical and business) and the creation of new documents, with the goal of bringing all documents up to date.
• Assist with transferring existing product documentation to DITA standard.
• Update content of existing documents with input from Technical and Business Analyst. You will also incorporate revisions from initial and final reviewers and create final document formatting and structure.
• Provide input to a weekly progress report prepared by Documentation  Manager. Those reports will include quality assessment of all documents and their stages in the process.
• Editing project documentation such as System Test Plans and Reports.
• Complying with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  

Profile

• University graduate, preferably in Business Information Systems.
• 5 years experience as a Technical Writer in the IT industry.
• Familiar with XML (DITA) and Content Management Systems.
• Knowledge of DITA tools.Knowledge of online Help structure and tools.
• Web knowledge, programming knowledge is a plus.
• Good English writing skills.
• Fluent in English, preferably native speaker, French is a plus.
