STC UK Local Interest Groups (or LIG)

The STC UK chapter set up two LIGs (or Local Interest Groups) in February 2005. These are informal groups that stay in touch by e-mail or a mailing list, and which aim to arrange the occasional informal meeting in their approximate geographical areas. In other words, they are an ideal way for STC UK members to stay in touch with other like-minded professionals in their area.

STC Northern UK LIG

This covers an area from the Midlands northwards. Meetings so far have included an informal evening in Edale, learning about Help systems in Stockport, and social events in Manchester

If you'd like to be kept informed about STC UK's totally informal Northern LIG, sign yourself up to the mailing list:

(Click on the "join STC_uklignorth" button in the middle of the web page).

STC Southern UK LIG

The Southern UK LIG covers the UK from the Midlands southwards. During 2004, meetings were held in London and in Reading. For more information, please contact Tina Hoffman.
