Our client produces and sells technologically advanced solutions for applications in e-Manufacturing for the automation industry. They both produce the course materials and deliver the courses. They have a strong team-oriented philosophy, which extends to close cooperation with programmers, developers and technicians.

As a member of the Technical Training team based in Genoa, Italy, your tasks will include:

  • Instructional design – working in a team of 16 to develop effective, user-friendly course materials
  • Classroom delivery – in front of about 12 learners teaching alone (using live terminal and the team created support materials)
  • Domestic or international travel about 2 weeks out of every 2 months


Your Experience

You must be an EU citizen or hold a regular work permit for Italy. In addition we require:

  • Strong background in highly technical subject matter: API knowledge, SQL Server 2005 and relational database experience, familiarity with the following web-based technologies: .NET , ASP, XML. You must be able to discuss issues with programmers and answer complex questions from learners.
  • Technical background to degree level: engineering, physics, or IT
  • Advanced written and spoken competence in English
  • Interest in teaching
  • Windows XP and Windows 2003 experience
  • Willingness to work abroad
  • Highly developed communication and teamwork skills


Also desired:

  • Experience with MS Development environment.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented programming concepts.
  • Knowledge of Industry Automation basics.
  • The ability to work according to objectives and manage deadlines
  • A willingness to take initiative, work independently and help the team achieve and improve best-practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-work skills
  • Advanced written and spoken competence in German
  • Italian would be a strong plus
