I am pleased to report that the STC's new membership management system is online and you can visit the STC web site and renew your membership for 2008. (If you're not an STC member, now's a good time to join, as your membership will run from now until the end of 2008 - that's 14 months membership for the price of 12.)

When you do renew it is vitally important that you select the UK Chapter as your local geographic community. The Chapter funding that allows us to hold events, run web sites like this one, maintain our mailing lists, and publish newsletters,  is directly related to the number of members we have in our Chapter so please make sure you check the right box.

Remember that standard membership packages include one geographic community and one Special Interest Group (SIG), so this year as well as confirming your membership of the UK Chapter, why not sign up for the new Europe SIG as well? If you are already a member of a SIG, then joining the Europe SIG costs you just USD $10 extra, less than the cost of a couple of pints! Joining an additional Chapter is also an option, at an additional cost of USD $25 each.

Please make sure you renew as soon as possible so that you become eligible to vote in STC elections in the new year.
