Overview:

• Mentor Graphics, leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), is looking for a Technical Writer to join a leading edge team developing complex design tools for electronics engineers.

• Research, design and develop documentation (manuals, tutorials, and HTML-based help systems); coordinate technical reviews; test deliverables for clarity, accuracy and usability. Participate in project support teams that include representatives from product engineering, product marketing, customer support, quality assurance and other writers and instructors.

• 2+ years of technical writing experience or equivalent supporting complex technical products. Experience in an EDA-related field preferred. Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Technical Communication, or equivalent. Excellent interviewing, researching and writing skills. Ability to work on cross-functional teams and concurrently on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently. A working knowledge of FrameMaker and generation of HTML and PDF is preferred.
